Our annual Carols Service this year continued the theme of our Christmas sermon series, exploring the reasons why Jesus came. As we discover the heart of Christmas, we see that Jesus came to make the invisible God known to us. Jesus came as the Word of God - the Word who was with God, the Word who was God. Jesus is the Word who became flesh and made His dwelling among us; the Creator who entered into His creation. Jesus came to display the fullness of God’s glory and grace in a way that no one else could reveal. We see the greatest display of God’s grace and truth as Jesus dies on the cross on our behalf. This Christmas, we can encounter the true nature of God only through Jesus Christ - who reveals His saving love, His truthfulness to forgive, and His wondrous amazing grace.
